Submitting a dossier confirms authority to act for the entrant and acceptance of the published framework.
Eligibility and authority
The entrant must fall within one of the six published entrant categories and select a professional field that corresponds to the achievement. The person submitting must be authorised to provide the material and accept communications on the entrant’s behalf.
Entry material
Statements must be accurate, attributable and supported in proportion to the claim. Submitted images, documents and third-party information must be lawful to use. Sensitive or irrelevant personal information should not be included. The programme office may request clarification, further documentation or remote verification where necessary.
Assessment and distinctions
Entries are assessed against the five common dimensions and the applicable entrant-category standards. Network voting and purchase do not determine the result. The reviewer determines whether the published threshold is met and, if so, the distinction level. There is no fixed quota.
Outcome and publication
A confirmed award record may state the recipient, complete award title, distinction level, country or region, citation, certificate reference and register reference. Private evidence is not published unless separately authorised.
Correction, withdrawal and revocation
An entrant may request withdrawal before a decision is confirmed. A material error may be corrected through the published procedure. A distinction may be restricted or revoked where it was obtained through material misrepresentation, the recorded subject is no longer identifiable, the mark is seriously misused or a binding legal requirement demands action.
Fees and commercial independence
IBA does not charge an entry or assessment fee. Sponsorship, advertising, supplier relationships and optional production services do not determine eligibility, scoring or the award of a distinction.
