Approved wording guide

Approved Wording Builder

Build the Right Recognition Statement

Final wording should match the official result notice, certificate reference, and registry record issued by IBA.

Level

Use the exact issued result

Use Nominee, Gold Award, or Grand Gold Award exactly as issued. Do not upgrade, abbreviate in a confusing way, or combine levels.

Field

Name the recognition field

When space allows, include the relevant field such as Beauty Products, Beauty Brands, or Beauty Salons & Centers.

Year

Include the award year

The award year helps audiences understand the timing of the recognition and supports registry accuracy.

Approved Examples

  • 2026 Nominee, International Beauty Awards™ - Beauty Professionals
  • 2026 Gold Award recipient, International Beauty Awards™ - Beauty Brands
  • 2026 Grand Gold Award recipient, International Beauty Awards™ - Beauty Products
  • Recognized by International Beauty Awards™ in the Beauty Salons & Centers field, 2026.

Avoid

  • Language that implies testing, approval, clinical validation, licensing, or legal compliance.
  • Language that transfers recognition to products, locations, services, or campaigns outside the official record.
  • Language that suggests a world ranking or a popularity poll result.
  • Language that replaces the issued level with an unofficial title.
